澳洲法院裁定蘋果(AAPL.US)、谷歌構成反競爭行為
外媒報道,澳洲聯邦法院今日(12日)裁定蘋果(AAPL.US)和Alphabet(GOOGL.US)旗下谷歌主導應用程式市場構成反競爭行為。法官裁決指出,兩間巨頭對應用商店的控制削弱市場競爭,導致程式開發商支付的佣金可能高於開放競爭市場水平。
蘋果與谷歌對所有應用程式內的交易抽取最高30%佣金,並禁止使用其他支付系統,引發Epic Games、Spotify(SPOT.US)及亞馬遜(AMZN.US)Kindle等大型應用開發商不滿。儘管兩間公司藉此每年賺取數十億美元,蘋果與谷歌表示此舉是基於隱私與安全需求。Epic Games因而與蘋果與谷歌展開長達5年的訴訟戰。
報道指,澳洲的消費者和應用開發者有機會就判決獲得賠償。有澳媒分析認為,有關裁決可能會對澳洲數字平台的營運方式產生重大影響。
