知名分析师郭明錤5月15日发文称，苹果AR/MR头戴设备可能会在6月WWDC亮相，苹果已经对发布此新设备做了充分准备。其表示，若苹果AR / MR头戴装置发布优于预期，则头戴装置将很快成为消费性电子产业最重要的投资新趋势。苹果将于WWDC发布AR / MR头戴装置有利于苹果供应链股价。值得注意的是，苹果MR头显预计将在9月量产，最快秋季送到用户手上。
据了解，苹果今年的全球开发者大会已确定将于北京时间2023年6月5日至9日举行。而据郭明錤透露，从新款设备的材料成本来看，除了组装(立讯精密独家)之外，最贵的前5名分别是Micro OLED显示器(Sony独家)、双处理器(台积电独家)、机壳(长盈精密为主要供应) 、12颗相机模型组(高伟电子独家)、与外部电源(歌尔股份独家)。若考虑到对供应商的营收与利润贡献，高伟电子(01415)因营收规模最小或为最大受益者。
苹果MR头显内部将有不少从iPad平台移植过来的VR/AR应用程序。消息人士称，用户可以通过新的3D界面直接访问数百万个应用程序，这些应用程序主要由第三方开发。该MR头显还会支持一些基础的苹果办公软件应用，如文字程序Pages、表格程序Numbers和幻灯片应用程序Keynote，以及用于视频和音乐制作的iMovie和GarageBand。
据称，与苹果其他大多数产品相比，这款头显属于是“实验性的”和“非常规的”产品，定价约为3000美元，并配有外部电池，续航时间在两小时，FaceTime、Apple Fitness+ 和游戏可能是这款头显最主要的三大应用领域。
值得一提的是，苹果知名爆料人马克·古尔曼(Mark Gurman)4月16日重申：2023年的全球开发者大会是“一个预示后iphone时代的契机，同时使现有设备更具吸引力”。其认为，通过新的MR头显，苹果正在为未来跳出iPhone和iPad时代做准备。
分析师指出，苹果MR将是苹果公司有史以来设计最复杂的消费电子产品，大量前沿技术的应用将加速产业链公司创新进程。苹果MR或将成为头显行业的游戏规则改变者。
据媒体报道，苹果并不期待这款 MR 头显在发布后第一年就卖出很高的销量。但市场人士分析认为，它作为苹果的“下一代计算平台”，必然会是苹果未来几年收入增量的重要来源。包括它在早期投入市场后用户反馈，也将大大影响资本市场对苹果未来业绩的判断，就像过去两年的 Meta 一样。
