美国知名对冲基金潘兴广场资本管理公司(Pershing Square)的创始人比尔·阿克曼(Bill Ackman)发文表示,美联储本周不应提高基准利率,他认为银行业危机已经产生了“金融状况明显收紧”的影响。

阿克曼表示,“我们的体系受到了一些重大冲击。”他列举了三家美国银行倒闭、第一共和银行(FRC.US)面临的压力以及瑞士信贷(CS.US)的紧急收购。

埃隆·马斯克周三在回复阿克曼的帖子时建议美联储将利率至少下调50个基点。马斯克此前曾呼吁美联储降息,他在周末辩称,鉴于最近的银行倒闭,美联储“在数据中存在太多的延迟”。

阿克曼写道,“我们还不知道这些机构的投资者损失在哪里,以及传染效应可能是什么。”在存款变得不稳定的情况下,“在这种情况下,哪家地区性银行会向新建筑或商业贷款投入有意义的资金?”

阿克曼认为,美联储主席杰罗姆·鲍威尔应该明确表示,暂停加息是暂时的,并发出信号,“除非银行业危机仍未解决,否则他的意图是在下次会议上恢复加息。”

他补充说,“在这种环境下,美联储不应该加息,给金融体系增加额外压力,因为金融稳定是美联储的首要责任。”
