金融通訊系統SWIFT為全球央行數碼貨幣網絡定出藍圖
金融通訊系統SWIFT公開全球央行數碼貨幣網絡藍圖,該機構早前完成8個月的測試,涉及不同科技及貨幣。有關測試參與者包括法國及德國央行、匯控(00005.HK)、渣打(02888.HK)及瑞銀等,檢視央行數碼貨幣如何在國際間應用,以及在需要時轉換為實體貨幣。
SWIFT創新總監Nick Kerigan表示,來年將進行更進一步測試,又指有關概念為一旦大規模應用,銀行只須一個主要全球聯繫,不用逐一為每一交易對手建立聯繫。他指出,在減少所需連接工作下,可達致更大效益。
有關測試亦檢視央行數碼貨幣技術,即分散式賬本技術(Distributed Ledger Technologies)。各國使用不同技術被視為全球快速應用央行數碼貨幣網絡的障礙。
