報道指美聯儲局結束針對匯控(00005.HK)近十年執法令
據外電報道,美聯儲局結束針對匯豐控股(00005.HK)違反美國制裁和反洗錢規定而實施了近十年的執法令,但當局在聲明中並無解釋結束有關執法令的原因,只表示執法令已於8月26日終止。
聯儲局2012年的行動源於針對該公司的一宗案件,指其繞過美國法律幫助拉美販毒集團洗錢,以及在處理來自伊朗、古巴、利比亞、蘇丹和緬甸的交易時違反規定。
2012年12月匯豐承認美國的指控,並在就案件達成和解,該行同意向美國政府支付當時創紀錄的19億美元罰款。(wl/k)
