中國5G手機需求強勁 高通將晶片押注手機業務以抵銷供應鏈失衡問題
《Mobile World Live》報道,高通(QCOM.US)管理層向投資者表示,公司受得住供應鏈緊張的問題,主要由於5G手機需求強勁,尤其是受惠於中國市場。
在高通第四財季電話會議上,集團財務總監Akash Palkhiwala解釋,公司將晶片供應首先分配予利潤最高的智能手機業務,而與入門級設備相比,高端智能手機受供應鏈問題的影響可能較小。雖然供應鏈失衡亦導致中國市場的疲弱,但部分被強勁的5G手機需求所抵銷,估計70%的中國智能手機的出貨量目前以5G手機爲主,而集團旗下客戶Oppo、Vivo、小米(01810.HK)及榮耀的智能手機都有所升級,爲公司帶來更多機遇。
高通行政總裁Cristiano Amon預期,集團將於明年下半年達至供需平衡。
