特斯拉在新加坡銷量激增
根據新加坡陸路交通管理局 (LTA)的數據,截至第三季度末,特斯拉在該國的汽車保有量達到487輛,較今年上半年的30輛增加了超過15倍。資料顯示,特斯拉今年2月份纔剛開始在新加坡銷售。
值得注意的是,由於新加坡政府對進口汽車徵收的重稅,新加坡是世界上擁有汽車成本最貴的地方之一,特斯拉入門款 Model 3在該國的售價高達近20萬新元(約合14.83萬美元),是在美國售價的近4倍。
得益於特斯拉粉絲車主的支持,特斯拉在9月份成爲新加坡第六大最受歡迎的汽車品牌,銷量達314輛,超過日產、奧迪和起亞,幾乎與現代汽車持平,落後於豐田汽車和本田汽車。
專家表示,特斯拉在新加坡銷量激增是有多個原因的,其中一個原因是:新加坡政府今年宣佈,爲電動汽車買家提供最高4.5萬新元的補貼。此外,由於特斯拉在應對供應鏈問題上似乎比其他公司做得更好,因此能夠比競爭對手交付更多的汽車。
南洋理工大學(NTU)的電動汽車專家Niels de Boer表示:“被壓抑的需求相對較大。現在供應已經到位,特斯拉很可能正在處理大量的積壓待交付訂單。”
爲了管理交通和污染,新加坡對汽車註冊有着嚴格限制。新加坡上個季度的月均新車註冊量較上半年減少了15.8%。這意味着,特斯拉的市場份額增長是以其競爭對手的損失爲代價的。據統計,戴姆勒旗下梅賽德斯-奔馳和日產汽車第三季度月均新車註冊量較今年上半年分別下降了45%和27%。

由其他汽車品牌轉向特斯拉的車主表示:“與梅賽德斯和寶馬等其他著名西方品牌的同等級別轎車相比,擁有特斯拉汽車更便宜。”
Niels de Boer預計,隨着競爭的加劇,對於特斯拉的狂熱可能會在未來較長一段時間內消退,但特斯拉的受歡迎有助於推動消費者轉向電動汽車,“人們會認爲這很酷很時髦”。
