Google:美國須完善專利制度以維持人工智能領先地位
Alphabet(GOOG.US)旗下的Google周五表示,美國要在人工智能(AI)競賽中保持領先地位,必須改善其專利制度,而美國專利商標局(USPTO)在該方面扮演關鍵角色。
Google在一篇博客文章中表示,隨著John Squires出任USPTO的主任,美國有機會通過優先確保有效專利的頒發,並有效處理無效專利,以促進美國在AI領域的領導地位。
Google提出四項政策建議,以協助美國官員實現目標,包括USPTO應獲得足夠資源,以評估複雜的發明;應進一步擴大AI在執行相關任務中的應用;當新發明在AI的助力下創造出來時,專利應歸屬於發明者,而非生成式AI;USPTO應恢復互動審查計劃。
