孫玉菡:將改良輸入外勞政策 飲食業僱主須在勞工處就業中心進行招聘
本港最新失業率升至3.7%,差過市場預期。
勞工及福利局長孫玉菡今日(19日)表示,政府將改良輸入外勞政策,保障本地勞工就業。其中針對飲食業,下月起將要求有意就初級廚師及侍應職位輸入外勞的僱主,除了必須就每宗申請的空缺進行4星期本地招聘外,亦要在勞工處就業中心進行招聘,本地勞工可即場面試。孫玉菡指,求職者若合適,僱主就須聘請,才能獲政府認同已完成本地招聘。
被問到會否提早叫停餐飲及零售業輸入外勞,或減少外勞名額,孫玉菡指政府批出的第一批外勞配額爲期兩年,至明年初完結,政府會按原定計劃,待明年初完成檢討,再決定下一步計劃。
