特朗普提名斯蒂芬・米蘭出任美聯儲理事，任期至2026年
當地時間8月7日，美國總統特朗普宣佈，已選定現任白宮經濟顧問委員會主席斯蒂芬・米蘭接替剛空出的美聯儲理事席位，任期至2026年1月31日。特朗普同時表示，將繼續物色長期的美聯儲職位替代者。據悉，斯蒂芬・米蘭曾在特朗普第一任期內擔任美國財政部經濟政策高級顧問，擁有哈佛大學經濟學博士學位。

“美聯儲傳聲筒”NickTimiraos表示，特朗普提名的美聯儲理事人選斯蒂芬・米蘭是前者經濟議程的堅定支持者，且曾對美聯儲去年的降息決定提出強烈批評。米蘭去年曾抨擊美聯儲與行政部門之間的“旋轉門”機制（即政府官員、監管機構成員與私營部門間的頻繁職位互換），並指出：“切斷這一旋轉門，對減少官員爲總統短期政治利益行事的動機至關重要。”

OpenAI推出GPT-5：集成多模型，性能大幅超越前代
據CNBC，當地時間8月7日，OpenAI宣佈推出新型人工智能模型GPT-5。該模型爲集成模型，融合了大語言模型GPT系列與推理模型o系列，用戶無需手動切換各類模型即可使用。GPT-5在數學、編程、視覺感知及健康等領域均展現出頂尖性能，大幅超越前代，成爲目前最強大的模型。OpenAI首席執行官SamAltman在記者簡報中稱：“我嘗試回到GPT-4，但體驗非常糟糕。”
特斯拉負責芯片技術與Dojo超級計算機項目的高管即將離職
據CNBC，特斯拉硬件設計工程副總裁皮特・巴農將於近期離職，他於2016年離開蘋果公司後加入特斯拉。巴農負責開發Dojo超級計算機，該設備旨在幫助特斯拉改進自動駕駛技術。據彭博社首次報道，特斯拉CEO埃隆・馬斯克已下令解散其團隊。
特朗普：英特爾CEO陳立武必須立即辭職

禮來上調2025年業績展望，季度盈利超預期，兩款重磅藥物銷售額激增
據CNBC，禮來公司週四上調2025年業績指引，並公佈第二季度收益——受重磅減肥及糖尿病藥物的強勁需求推動，業績超出預期。該公司將2025財年銷售額指引從原先的580億至610億美元上調至600億至620億美元，得益於業務基礎的強勁表現；同時預計調整後每股盈利爲21.75至23美元，高於此前的20.78至22.28美元。
