港交所(00388.HK)就縮短股票結算周期展開市場討論 提及「T+1」選項
港交所(00388.HK)刊發討論文件,期望引導市場就縮短股票現貨市場結算周期展開討論。交易所指出,現行股票現貨市場T+2結算周期自1992年沿用至今,而近年全球主要市場如中國內地、美國及印度等已採用T+1結算,預測至2027年全球有88%股票交易將實行T+1或T+0結算周期。
集團行政總裁陳翊庭表示,優化結算系統是保持香港國際金融中心競爭力的關鍵,強調全球金融市場的發展日新月異,呼籲業界積極參與討論及於9月1日前提交意見,從而凝聚共識。
討論文件提出,轉為T+1將有助提升市場效率、降低系統性風險及與國際市場接軌,但同時也要面臨時區差異、外匯轉換及更短結算時間窗口等挑戰,預期市場參與者需要升級系統、實現流程自動化,並與整個市場協調配合,以保持營運效率和營運穩定性。
此次結算周期改革討論僅限股票現貨市場二級市場交易的結算,不涉及一級市場交易(例如新股認購)的結算。
