德銀:市場低估特朗普解僱鮑威爾風險 或引發美元及美債被拋售
外媒報道,德銀策略師全球外匯策略主管George Saravelos表示,美國總統特朗普可能解僱聯儲局主席鮑威爾是一個重大兼且被低估的風險,可能引發美元及美國國債被拋售。
上周特朗普表示,如果政府官員對鮑威爾在聯儲局總部翻修項目問題上誤導國會議員的指控屬實,鮑威爾就應該立即辭職。而此前特朗普亦曾多次要求聯儲局大幅減息,並暗示可能會在鮑威爾任期結束前提名接任者。
Saravelos稱,如果特朗普迫使鮑威爾下台,接下來的24小時內美元貿易加權匯率可能會下跌至少3%至4%,同時固定收益產品亦會下跌30至40個點子,美元及債券將承受持續的風險溢價。另外,市場在最初消息之後的後續反應,將取決於其他聯儲局官員是否公開支持聯儲局的獨立性、特朗普對鮑威爾繼任者的提名以及經濟狀況。
