美國防部斥4億美元成MP Materials最大股東 盤前股價飆升逾60%
稀土礦商MP Materials(MP.US)周四表示,美國國防部已同意購買公司價值4億美元的優先股,成為該公司最大股東。消息公布後,MP Materials股價在盤前交易中大漲超過60%。
公司稱,該筆來自五角大廈的資金將用於擴展其稀土加工能力及磁鐵生產。
2023年美國幾乎完全依賴外國進口稀土,其中約70%來自中國。MP Materials擁有美國唯一營運中、位於加州的稀土礦場,稀土磁鐵是多種軍用武器系統的關鍵零件,包括F-35戰機、無人機和潛艇。
