傳三井住友金融(8316.JP)研調整香港業務架構 關閉旗下「三井住友信託銀行香港分行」業務
多間媒體引述消息指,日本三井住友金融集團(8316.JP)正考慮調整香港業務架構,計劃關閉旗下「三井住友信託銀行香港分行」(SMTB香港),有指正等待金融監管部門批準。就香港分行營運變化的傳聞,SMTB公關部回覆指不予置評。該銀行尚未就此發表正式聲明。
有報道稱,雖然傳出信託銀行可能結束營運,但三井住友金融集團在香港仍將保留重要業務據點,包括「三井住友銀行香港分行」(SMBC香港),同時該集團持有東亞銀行近20%股權,維持其在香港金融市場的重要戰略地位。
有傳媒已就此事向金管局查詢,暫未獲回覆。
資料顯示,SMTB香港分行在2013年開業,屬三井住友信託銀行成立後開設的首家海外分行。
