微軟(MSFT.US)據報縮減部分AI晶片設計 延長正開發晶片時間表
資訊科技新聞媒體《The Information》報道,微軟(MSFT.US)正修訂內部研發人工智能伺服器晶片路線圖,縮減部分設計並延長其他正開發人工智能晶片的時間表,選擇專注於到2028年之前推出較不具野心的設計,並能與英偉達(NVDA.US)人工智能晶片保持競爭力。
報道指,微軟高層在上週的一次會議中向公司矽晶團隊通報新計劃。有關決定是在微軟早前推遲其最新一代人工智能晶片Maia 200的發佈時間至明年之後所作出。
