彭博社：數據證明聯想的太陽能筆記本並非噱頭
近日，彭博社發佈了一篇深度文章，在標題中明確表示"聯想的太陽能筆記本並非噱頭"。
聯想在上個月剛剛結束的MWC展會上展示了一款概念設備——Yoga太陽能筆記本電腦。該公司稱其可以在陽光下20分鐘內產生足夠的電量，供電腦完成一個小時的視頻播放。
彭博社表示，也曾質疑聯想集團的這款覆蓋太陽能電池的設備可能會被當作營銷噱頭。因爲我們已經看到無數公司試圖展示其環保資質，但並沒有爲用戶或環境帶來真正的改善。況且，這是一個沒有確定發佈日期的概念驗證產品。
但經過測算之後，彭博社改變了他們的想法。彭博新能源財經的可再生能源分析師Youru Tan進行了計算，發現這款14英寸筆記本電腦蓋子上的太陽能電池——聲稱的光電轉換效率爲24%——在理想條件下可以產生約12瓦的最大功率輸出。這比市場上一些最高效的筆記本電腦在中等使用時所需的電量還要多。
"最讓我興奮的是，太陽能發電效率終於跟上了筆記本電腦的電力需求，"Youru Tan說，"而且由於技術進步，薄而輕的太陽能電池並沒有明顯增加筆記本電腦的厚度和重量。"(原型機厚度爲15毫米，重量爲1.22公斤。)
分析師認爲，聯想太陽能概念電腦採用了正確的技術，使太陽能筆記本電腦更接近現實。這從節能的OLED屏幕開始，該屏幕僅照亮需要的像素，在顯示較暗場景時節省電量。然後是其蓋子上的小型太陽能發電廠，利用最新的商業化技術——"back-contact cells" ，可以最大化對陽光的接觸。
半導體行業分析師伊恩·卡特雷斯(Ian Cutress)認爲，聯想展示的東西確實向前邁進了一步，太陽能發電可以延長電池壽命，併爲緊急工作提供一些額外的電量。
聯想展現的產品使用場景包括在偏遠營地撰寫博客文章或在火車上準備演示文稿。彭博社認爲，對於記者或分析師這類整天帶着工作筆記本電腦的人，即使是額外的10分鐘來記錄我們的想法也是有價值的。
彭博社記者表示，其對完全由太陽能驅動的筆記本電腦的前景更加樂觀。研究進展迅速，實驗室結果顯示一些先進技術的發電效率超過30%。計算機處理器也變得越來越高效，包括去年發佈的高通公司驍龍芯片，顯著提高了Windows電腦的電池壽命。
當三星電子公司在2011年發佈首批太陽能筆記本電腦之一時，它是一款笨重、卡通化的上網本，與聯想現在推出的時尚且功能強大得多的原型機相去甚遠。當時，三星表示，在明亮的中午陽光下兩個小時可以增加一個小時的電池壽命。
彭博社評論道，聯想的新產品證明，我們已經走了多遠。
如果完全由太陽能驅動的筆記本電腦最終問世，那麼將會有壓力將這種技術添加到每一個具備足夠大的面板空間的便攜式電子設備上。"當陽光無處不在且免費時，爲什麼還要帶着那個笨重的充電器呢？"
