摩通(JPM.US):對香港作為金融中心信心百年來最高
據《南華早報》報道,摩根大通(JPM.US)總裁兼首席營運官(COO)Daniel Pinto接受訪問時稱,該行將繼續投資香港,認為香港將能夠在經濟周期逆轉時復甦,發揮其作為全球第二大經濟體(中國)的金融中心的潛力;並指摩通對香港作為金融中心的信心,是該行在本港經營100年以來最高(其前身「大通銀行」早於1924年在香港展開業務)。
Pinto表示,該行將繼續在中國開展現有業務,並隨著商業周期繼續發展。他稱,中國是全球第二大經濟體,將能創造機遇,這些機遇出現的速度有多快或多慢,取決於其商業周期,但強調未來中國的金融市場將進一步發展;摩通等國際公司在協助中國金融體系持續發展方面將發揮重要作用。
