傳匯豐銀行大手掃港元 中長期拆息抽高
金管局周三(22日)通過貼現窗口向銀行投放9.04億元流動性,並已於昨日回籠。《星島日報》引述上商財資業務處研究部主管林俊泓報道,市傳近兩日匯豐在外匯市場大手買入港元,但只拆出隔夜錢,同業見匯豐此舉,遂對其是否出現水緊存疑,故變得審慎起來,向市場拆出資金都相對手緊,鑑於市場缺乏中長錢供應,1、3個月拆息繼續扯高。
據悉,匯豐向來坐擁最多港元資金,近日大量買入港元會令港元資金進一步歸邊,有些銀行未必獲匯豐授予信貸額度,從而或需透過貼現窗向金管局借取資金。估計拆息要年結過後才回落,年底前1個月拆息或升貼3個月拆息,3個月拆息則保持現水平。
另有傳匯豐近日只拆出短錢,主要與季節性因素有關,倘若對手銀行如美資行因美國感恩節假期而欲向其拆入幾日錢,可能都需付出較高息率才可取得資金。
