港府:2023年印花稅修訂證券轉讓條例草案下周三提交立法會首讀
政府今日(25日)於憲報刊登《2023年印花稅(修訂)(證券轉讓)條例草案》,以落實行政長官在2023年《施政報告》提出下調股票交易印花稅稅率至0.1%的措施。《條例草案》將於下周三(11月1日)提交立法會進行首讀。
《條例草案》旨在修訂《印花稅條例》(第117章),下調售賣或購買香港證券的成交單據的應繳印花稅稅率及相應下調該等證券某些轉讓書的印花稅稅率。
政府發言人表示,下調印花稅稅率將減低投資者的交易成本、提振市場情緒,和提升香港股票市場的競爭力。此措施已考慮《施政報告》諮詢過程中收到的持份者意見,以及促進股票市場流動性專責小組的建議,並在推動股票市場發展和維持健康公共財政狀況之間取得平衡。
