韓媒:兩香港投行涉無貨沽空被為揭法為匯豐及法巴
南韓金融監督院(FSS)表示,發現兩間香港投資銀行進行無貨沽空(naked short-selling),涉及金額共560億韓圜(約3.24億元),這可能會招致創紀錄罰款。據《南韓經濟日報》報道,該兩間投行分別為匯豐及法巴,今次將是FSS首次確認有投行故意進行無貨沽空,先前大多數的案例都是來自對沖基金。
FSS表示,有投行在2021年9月至2022年5月期間下令無貨沽空101隻韓股,當中包括社交平台Kakao Corp,金額為400億韓圜。據悉,該涉事的銀行是法巴 。另外,FSS稱,另一間投行下令從2021年8月至12月進行160億韓圜的沽空,沽空包括三星旗下新羅酒店在內的9間上市公司,據消息人士稱,涉事投行為匯豐。
