大馬擬立法要求谷歌及Meta(META.US)等向新聞內容付費
馬來西亞通訊與多媒體委員會(MCMC)表示,正考慮立法要求互聯網巨擘谷歌及Meta(META.US)等媒體支付新聞使用費,目前正與相關的主要平台就監管框架進行討論。
MCMC表示,擬議的法規將類似於澳洲於2021年的立法,後者強制要求谷歌及Meta為能產生點擊及廣告收入的新聞內容向媒體支付費用,同時亦考慮參照加拿大的法規。
MCMC稱,立法目的是解決數碼平台及國內媒體收入不平衡,並確保新聞內容得到公平補償。
