國泰(00293.HK)首次於海外爲商業航班加註可持續航空燃油
國泰(00293.HK)宣佈,今年6月旗下有四班貨運航班於新加坡樟宜機場啓程前,加註由埃克森美孚亞太區私人有限公司負責混合及供應的可持續航空燃油(SAF),是首次在香港樞紐以外的商業航班加註SAF,預期有助公司逐步實現於2030年將SAF使用量提升至總燃油消耗10%的目標。
是次使用的一批純SAF以100%餐飲廢油爲原料,符合國際永續發展與碳驗證(ISCC)的歐盟EU,按全生命週期計算,與傳統噴氣燃料相比可減少近90%的溫室氣體排放。
國泰集團行政總裁林紹波表示,今次於海外進一步採用SAF是國泰航空邁向於2050年實現淨零碳排放目標的一項重要里程碑,堅信採用SAF是實現航空業達致淨零碳排放目標的關鍵舉措。
