黃偉綸:勞動力短缺問題上以本地工人就業優先為大原則
財政司副司長黃偉綸昨日(7日)聯同發展局、勞工及福利局、多名立法會,及一眾建造業界代表會面,就建造業人力短缺問題交換意見。黃偉綸在社交網站指,面對業界人手嚴重短缺,政府不會坐視不理,並樂意和業界聯手,多管齊下,共同應對問題。
他指,隨著香港工程量增多,加上人手老化,業界面對嚴重勞動力不足問題,如何加強培訓及招聘、增加科技應用,以及提升業界形象,以吸引年輕人入行等至為重要。他強調,當香港出現勞動力不足,令經濟發展出現瓶頸,政府絕對不會袖手旁觀,會想方設法去克服種種困難。
他表示,在處理勞動力短缺問題上,政府一直以維持本地工人就業優先為大原則,但若行業人手明顯不足,就有必要考慮輸入勞工,強調政策考量絕不是要引入廉價勞工,說以最低工資聘用外勞是荒謬之談。另外,政府會協助建造業界,聯手加大培訓,改善地盤管理和工作環境,以及推動使用創新科技及提升生產力,以鼓勵更多年輕人入行,為行業注入新血。
