Lordstown Motors發破產警告
週一，電動汽車製造商Lordstown Motors(RIDE.US)發出破產警告。因其合作夥伴富士康威脅不會繼續履行已達成的投資協議，Lordstown Motors可能被迫停止運營並申請破產。
去年11月7日，該公司與富士康簽署了一份投資協議，富士康同意購買價值7000萬美元的A類普通股和價值1億美元的可轉換優先股。同月22日，雙方完成初步交易，富士康購買了約2270萬美元的A類普通股和3000萬美元的優先股。
但在今年4月21日，Lordstown收到了富士康的來信，聲稱其違反了投資協議。因爲此前Lordstown透露，公司已經收到納斯達克的退市警示函，這意味着該公司不再滿足納斯達克上市的條件，其中規定股價連續30個交易日不得低於1美元。富士康警告說，如果Lordstown不能在30個交易日內糾正違約行爲，富士康將終止投資協議。
Lordstown表示，公司也在尋求其他融資方式。該公司稱：“如果我們無法及時解決與富士康的爭端，並達成允許我們按計劃繼續運營的條款，找到其他資金來源，找到戰略合作夥伴並解決重大的潛在負債，我們可能需要削減或停止運營，並通過提交自願申請書尋求破產法的保護。”
該公司補充表示：“富士康的行爲是完全沒有理由的，他們的行爲已經對公司造成了實質性的、並且正在變得無法挽回的損害。”
這突顯了在電動汽車市場動盪之際，合作夥伴關係正在迅速瓦解。富士康除了對Lordstown高達1.7億美元的投資外，其還支付了2.3億美元購買了位於美國俄亥俄州屬於Lordstown的一家前通用汽車公司工廠，計劃在那里根據合同製造Lordstown的首款車型Endurance。但是在今年1月，Lordstown要求富士康暫停生產，因爲Endurance電動皮卡的製造成本超過了65,000美元的目標銷售價格，並表示需要另一位合作夥伴來共同分擔成本。
這家電動汽車公司上個月表示，該卡車的生產已經以“非常緩慢”的速度恢復。截至週一收盤，Lordstown Motors暴跌23.29%，報0.401美元。
