多家對衝基金加倉
在硅谷銀行和簽名銀行破產引發拋售後，包括 Citadel 在內的對衝基金購買了小型銀行的股票，發出了信心信號，因爲客戶急於撤資，投資者擔心更廣泛的金融危機危機。
全球最賺錢的對衝基金之一Citadel週二在一份監管文件中表示，它購買了阿萊恩斯西部銀行(WAL.US)5.3%的股份。
副投資組合經理Rob Mills表示，管理着16億美元資產的Anson Funds週一買入第一共和銀行(FRC.US)股票，但具體數量沒有公佈。
阿萊恩斯西部銀行的股價週一曾大幅下挫，週二在停牌後一度飆升46%。第一共和國股價反彈33%，但過去五天仍下跌63%。
上週，監管機構關閉了硅谷銀行後，許多銀行陷入了嚴重的拋售，引發了對金融市場蔓延的擔憂。紐約金融監管機構關閉了簽名銀行，理由是硅谷銀行倒閉後，簽名銀行的領導層出現了“嚴重的信任危機”。
美國總統拜登和其他政策制定者試圖安撫急於提現的焦慮銀行客戶和拋售股票的投資者。
Citadel去年爲投資者賺取了160億美元的利潤，其交易趨勢受到市場的密切關注。該公司發言人拒絕在文件之外發表評論。
週二早些時候，億萬富翁投資者羅恩·巴倫(Ron Baron)表示，他“適度增持”了嘉信理財(SCHW.US)的倉位，以利用兩位數的拋售獲利。
對一些投資者來說，現在是謹慎迴歸銀行業的時候了。
Mills表示，"這不是信貸危機，" “這是一場流動性危機，現在你有摩根大通和所有人排隊提供(第一共和國)所需的資金。”Anson Funds喜歡美國第14大銀行第一共和國銀行的管理和貸款賬目質量。

億萬富翁投資者、對衝基金潘興廣場資本管理公司的比爾·阿克曼(Bill Ackman)週一表示，“只要政府做正確的事情，現在地區性銀行是一筆令人難以置信的交易。”他指出這些交易存在風險，但他表示，他認爲其他知名投資者也在將資金投入這一領域。但他表示他的公司目前不會投資銀行。
反映地區銀行經營狀況的KBW銀行指數週二上漲5%，此前五天下跌19%。
Citadel創始人Ken Griffin表示，週一表示，美國政府不應介入保護硅谷銀行的儲戶，稱銀行資產負債表正處於有史以來最強勁的狀態。Griffin的對衝基金收購了西聯銀行的大量股權。
Griffin認爲，如果政府不插手，投資者將會學到“風險管理至關重要”的教訓。
