有線交還收費電視牌照 商經局:通訊局理解有人手調配及解僱計劃
商經局局長丘應樺今日(15日)稱,有線寬頻(01097.HK)交還本地收費電視服務牌照,純屬其商業決定,本港仍有一個收費電視台可提供節目。
另有線寬頻行政總裁黃思遠今早於電台節目重申,現階段無裁員計劃,反而更需積極招聘。惟傳媒引述商經局向立法會提交文件則指,「通訊局理解有線電視服務終止後會有人手調配及解僱計劃」,並稱有線最終計劃「將視乎臨近服務終止日期時的當前經營環境和商機而定」。
另消委會接獲兩宗相關查詢,但相信收費電視牌照不影響寬頻等其他服務,收費電視用戶帳戶內的餘額,可轉至其他服務或退款。終止服務後,用戶可將機頂盒拆除保留,或交還有線回收。消委會預料近期會有大量用戶致電有線查詢,建議有線安排足夠人手處理查詢,消委會亦會協助消費者。
