There are media reports that Tencent 00700.HK plans to sell all or most of its stake in Meituan. In this regard, 36 krypton learned from sources close to Tencent that the above rumors are not true and Tencent has no plans to sell Meituan shares.

This afternoon, the trillion giant Meituan suddenly plunged, and its share price fell by more than 10% at one point. Tencent Holdings (0700.HK) plans to sell all or most of its $24 billion stake in 3690.HK, according to Reuters. According to Meituan's market capitalization as of Monday, Tencent holds a 17 per cent stake in Meituan, worth $24.3 billion. Subsequently, Tencent was interviewed by the media about the matter, and Tencent replied that it would not comment.

Investors pointed out that if this news really caused Meituan to fall, it may be a buying opportunity.
