Earlier, several media reported that Tesla would set up a second factory in Shanghai, mainly producing Model 3 and Model Y models, increasing the annual capacity of 450000 vehicles, making Tesla's Shanghai factory "the largest automobile export hub in the world". According to Shengguan News, according to sources familiar with the matter, Tesla's negotiations on related matters have already begun, and Tesla's new factory in Shanghai is already under preparation, but has not yet signed a contract.

"if the supply chain companies in and around Shanghai cannot find a way to return to work dynamically and return to production, all the car factories in China may have to stop production in May."
