渣打香港:港匯或有機會觸及7.85水平
渣打香港及大灣區金融市場主管曾繼志表示,受到港美息差拉闊影響,港匯有機會觸及7.85水平,但由於本港聯繫匯率制度,相信不會出現失守情況,又指由於近期投資市場情緒不穩定,令港元需求較疲弱,惟目前資金流動情況仍然正常。
他認為,當局提出的量化緊縮方向,大致上符合市場預期,未來三個月減債475億美元,其後950億美元,整個走勢對市場會有一個舒緩作用,尤其對股市及債市,相信整個過程需花三年時間消化。
他指出,聯儲局宣布加息後,符合市場預期,而美股亦隨即有約近3%明顯升幅,他認為市場目前仍需時去觀察加息後的通脹情況,惟聯儲局打擊通脹的目標不變,是其首要任務。(ca/a)
