國泰(00293.HK)成立企業可持續航空燃油計劃
國泰航空(00293.HK)宣布成立亞洲首個主要的先導「企業可持續航空燃油計劃」,計劃成功招募了八家企業為創始客戶,當中包括友邦保險(01299.HK)、香港機場管理局、DHL全球貨運物流、匯豐、近鐵國際貨運、羅兵咸永道、渣打銀行及太古股份(00019.HK)。
計劃所用的可持續航空燃料以廢棄食用油及動物脂肪製成,由國泰航空的先導「企業可持續航空燃油計劃」燃油供應商中國石油(00857.HK)及蜆殼提供。計劃所用的可持續航空燃油會通過現有的一般航空燃料加油基建設施,為未來於香港國際機場持續恆常供應可持續航空燃油提供參考。
行政總裁鄧健榮表示,繼創始企業客戶外,不少企業亦表示有意參與計劃,公司歡迎所有企業參與,從而減少其於相關飛行活動的間接碳排放。
