格隆匯3月29日丨宏光半導體(06908.HK)公佈,有關於2021年11月投資於GaN Systems。於2022年3月28日,公司的全資附屬公司徐州金沙江半導體有限公司("徐州金沙江半導體")與GaN Systems於互聯網數據中心("互聯網數據中心")電力基礎設施進行首次公開氮化鎵("GaN")的行業實地試驗,此乃GaN於互聯網數據中心中得以廣泛應用的重要里程碑。

該Beta測試於2022年3月在西北大學物理科高性能計算中心(NWU-HPC)首次啟動。該試驗的電源是在北京設計,技術由GaN Systems及徐州金沙江半導體提供。該試驗得到深圳前沿科技研發有限公司(為公司所設立的單位)的大力支持。分析表明,新電源在50%負載下的能源效率高達98%,比傳統矽基電源高4%。因此,此舉可將互聯網數據中心的總能耗降低10%,如果再加上互聯網數據中心中不間斷電源(UPS)和冷卻系統的電源替換,則與使用傳統矽基功率半導體相比,預計互聯網數據中心的節能效果將達到20%。因此,董事認為,隨着全球對能源需求的增加,此節能效果將可增加互聯網數據中心的利潤率,降低運營成本,減少能源消耗,從而為建設可持續發展的未來作出貢獻,並將碳排放降到最低。

據中國通信學會的專家所述,作為新基礎設施的重要組成部分,互聯網數據中心將在即將到來的數字經濟轉型中發揮重大作用。據推算,2020年中國數據中心耗電量超過2000億千瓦時,約佔中國總耗電量的2%,電力使用效率為1.49,二氧化碳排放量為135百萬噸,碳排放強度為0.82,約佔全國二氧化碳排放量的1.14%。根據《數字經濟發展十四五規劃》,此要求中國企業遵守綠色、低碳、節能的原則,不斷推進綠色建設,加快節能,提高互聯網數據中心的可再生能源利用率。在實現碳中和的目標下,於互聯網數據中心採用節能減碳的新技術,不僅可以促進互聯網數據中心的綠色發展,更可以助力中國在2030年前達到碳排放峯值,並在2060年前實現碳中和。根據最近發佈的國家算力網絡規劃,中國已經批准建設八個國家樞紐節點和10個大型數據中心集羣的項目。董事認為,使用GaN功率晶體管制造更節能的電源供應器電源模塊可以為互聯網數據中心的綠色和高質量發展提供技術基礎,從而支持中國實現碳中和的目標。

因此,董事認為,實地試驗為實現全球各地互聯網數據中心採用GaN的關鍵一步,乃因其證實在滿足數據中心運營商嚴格可靠性要求的同時,可實現對環境產生積極影響的能源節約效果。
