巴菲特談增持西方石油：五天投了45億美元，能買多少買多少
伯克希爾哈撒韋公司董事長沃倫-巴菲特在週一的一次採訪中披露了他最近大手筆增持西方石油公司股份的經過，稱他在上週五個交易日內豪擲45億美元，買入了9120萬股，按當前股價計算價值超過了50億美元。
這位著名投資者在閱讀了2月25日西方石油公司第四季度財報電話會議的記錄後，作出了增持該公司股份的決定。
巴菲特說：“我讀了每一個字，然後說，‘這就是我將要做的，’她在以正確的方式管理公司，”巴菲特指的是西方石油公司的CEO維姬-霍盧布（Vicki Hollub）。
霍盧布在財報電話會議上宣揚了西方石油公司的運營收益、債務償還、股息增加，以及專注於創造長期、可持續的自由現金流。該公司前景的改善，再加上俄烏衝突導致能源價格飆升，推動其股價今年上漲了70%。
巴菲特說：“我們從週一開始買進，能買多少就買多少。”
根據巴菲特的言論和美國證券交易委員會（SEC）收到的文件，伯克希爾到上週二收盤時買入了2980萬股西方石油股票，然後在接下來的三天裏又買入了6140萬股。
巴菲特說，上週五股市收盤後一分鐘後，他就打電話給霍盧布，告訴她購入了該公司的股票。
在此之前，巴菲特的伯克希爾已持有西方石油價值100億美元的優先股，以及以每股59.62美元的行權價購買8390萬股普通股的認股權證。如果西方石油公司的股價高於這一水平，伯克希爾就可以行使其認股權證，並賣掉這些股票來獲利。
2019年，伯克希爾向西方石油公司提供了100億美元，幫助其收購阿納達科石油公司（Anadarko Petroleum），作爲交換，巴菲特和他的團隊獲得了這些優先股和認股權證。伯克希爾每年從這一安排中獲得約8億美元的收益，這要歸功於這些優先股每年8%的股息。
上週，有“華爾街獨狼”之稱的億萬富翁投資者卡爾-伊坎賣掉了自己持有的最後一批西方石油公司股票，他在2019年曾猛烈抨擊霍盧布與巴菲特的交易。伊坎當時說，巴菲特把霍盧布“榨乾了”，而這場談判就像“從嬰兒手中拿走糖果”。
