福特汽車結束在印度生產汽車
福特汽車(F.US)將停止在印度生產汽車,在進軍印度市場10年以來累計經營虧損逾20億美元,因當地對福特汽車的需求疲弱。
福特印度公司負責人表示,印度汽車市場未有出現預期般的增長,同時當地市場亦持續出現產能過剩,公司將在第四季度前關閉印度西部一間工廠的營運,並在明年之前關閉位於南部生產汽車及引擎的廠房。
福特表示,會繼續通過進口在印度銷售汽車,並會爲經銷商提供支持以便爲現有客戶提供服務,預計約有4,000名員工受到影響。
