IMAX CHINA(01970.HK)2021上半年收入5340萬美元，票房及影院安裝強勁復甦
2021年7月28日，IMAX CHINA(01970.HK)公佈2021年上半年財務業績，在票房及影院安裝活動強勁復甦的推動下，IMAX China大中華區收入為5,340萬美元，較一年前的670萬美元實現大增。調整後淨利潤達到2,130萬美元，而2020年上半年則淨虧損1,550萬美元。批准中期股息約為970萬美元(每股0.028美元)，派息率提升至50%且高於歷史以往700萬美元的派息額。
IMAX China主席理查德·葛爾方表示:“我們上半年營收和收益已強勁反彈至接近2019年的水平，突顯出IMAX對中國市場的消費者、電影人以及影院合作伙伴們的價值不斷提升。自疫情後影院恢復營業的一年來，我們非常高興地看到市場正加速利好於強調影院體驗的大片，越來越多的IMAX DNA正不斷注入電影內容製作，這也進一步強化了疫情後時代IMAX China在娛樂生態系統中的定位。我們創紀錄的本土影片票房表明。隨着中國電影正不斷朝着高水準製作的類型發展，我們將有機會進一步提升市場份額。在今年接下來的幾個月和2022年，我們期待藉助好萊塢和本土影片的強大片單，在這一良好勢頭的基礎上再接再厲。
IMAX China首席執行官陳遠鵬表示:“我們在2021年的開局勢頭強勁，元旦和春節檔首週末票房屢破紀錄，影院網絡持續增長，新影院簽約不斷擴大。隨着電影觀眾越來越多地尋求優質觀影體驗，影院合作伙伴們希望供應具有差異化的娛樂技術，IMAX China已成為電影娛樂體驗的首選。隨着我們在好萊塢和本土影片的票房佔比不斷增長，一些重要的好萊塢影片下半年陸續迴歸影院上映，我們對於繼續提升市場份額更具信心。”
影院網絡方面，截至2021年6月30日，IMAX影院網絡繼續拓展。在大中華區共擁有759套系統，其中384家影院為全收入分成模式，108家影院為混合分成模式，267家影院為銷售模式。公司在2021年上半年安裝和升級23套影院系統，2020年上半年僅有3套安裝。
公司在2021年上半年共簽署了12套影院系統，使得IMAX簽約待建的影院數量達到237家（截至2021年6月30日）。新簽約影院主打與百老匯影院簽訂的4套IMAX激光系統，將坐落於上海的幾處地標性商業體。
