據報特斯拉致函印度政府促下調進口關稅
綜合媒體報道,美國電動車生產商特斯拉(TSLA.US)致函印度政府及印度主要智庫Niti Aayog,提出大幅削減電動車進口關稅,以提振當地電動車需求及爲政府產生收益。信中又指,公司計劃今年開始在當地銷售電動車。報道引述消息指,要求印度把進口關稅率減至四成,可使印度民衆更能負擔電動車,亦能吸引海外公司在當地設廠規避關稅。
特斯拉今年1月在當地註冊成立公司,並加快在當地招聘及尋找展銷店地點。印度運輸部長Nitin Gadkari早前表示,印度樂於提供誘因,確保特斯拉在當地生產成本低於中國,條件爲特斯拉須在當地生產電動車。目前印度對4萬美元以下車輛設定60%關稅,4萬美元以上車輛設定100%關稅。
特斯拉行政總裁馬斯克在社交平臺Twitter帖文,指公司很可能在印度設立電動車車廠,但條件爲印度下調電動車進口關稅。他指若特斯拉在當地銷售理想,便很可能在印度設廠。
