印度政府指Twitter須就用戶發佈內容負法律責任
《路透》報道,印度政府表示,美國社交平臺Twitter(TWTR.US)違反當地新的資訊科技法例,不再就用戶發佈內容豁免承擔法律責任。印度資訊科技部門向新德裏最高法院提交文件,指Twitter違反當地資訊科技法的條款,導致Twitter失去免責權利。
事緣一名Twitter用戶投訴該平臺出現誹謗推文,並指公司沒有遵守新法例有關管理層的任命要求。
印度新資訊科技法5月中生效,旨在監管社交平臺內容,使有關平臺就法庭要求移除帖文及分享留言來源更具問責性。
