美银行业新冠疫情期间收取透支费用遭国会议员抨击
《路透》报道,美国多间银行行政总裁出席美国国会听证会,就新冠疫情期间向客户收取透支费用及其他费用遭受议员抨击。摩根大通(JPM.US)、美银(BAC.US)、花旗(C.US)及富国银行(WFC.US)行政总裁在会上强调银行已免收费用及提供更可承担的帐户。
摩根大通行政总裁戴蒙表示,该行已在新冠疫情以来免收4亿美元透支收费。富国银行行政总裁Charles Scharf称,该行已推出透支免收费帐户。民主党籍参议员沃伦(Elizabeth Warren)其後批评摩根大通只是少收费用,在全球新冠危机下仍收取15亿美元透支费,低於平时的20亿美元。民主党众议员Carolyn Maloney亦指摘富国银行就记帐卡交易收取掠夺式透支费用。
与会者亦包括高盛及摩根士丹利的行政总裁。
