David Webb:政府購東京奧運轉播權開危險先例
政府宣布購入東京奧運轉播權,並與本港5間持牌電視台達成轉播共識,惟未有透露轉播權費用。獨立股評人David Webb撰文指,政府此舉與過去不干預市場的取態背道而馳,批評有關做法是開出危險先例,指出為消除競爭和排他性,本港5個持牌電視台將免費獲得轉播權,將分薄各台的廣告收入
他又指,全世界政府都不會介入市場競爭,質疑港府未來會否再以公帑購入世界盃、歐洲足球競賽、世界一級方程式錦標賽等大型賽事轉播權。
