美国联邦及州政府要求法院拒绝Facebook申请驳回反垄断诉讼
美国联邦贸易委员会(FTC)及美国多个州政府要求联邦法院,拒绝Facebook(FB.US)要求驳回去年12月提出的重大反垄断诉讼。
美国联邦贸易委员会在法庭文件表示,Facebook之所以收购Instagram,是因为行政总裁朱克伯格认为Instagram是主要的竞争对手,而收购WhatsApp亦是为了消除竞争威胁,故要求法院下令Facebook出售这些资产。
多个州政府亦在另一宗诉讼中指控Facebook通过收购来掩饰掠夺性及排他性行为,以成功地压制及阻止竞争,从而巩固其垄断地位
Facebook曾要求法院驳回这两项诉讼,指称这两项诉讼是在充满争议的环境下提出的,而这些诉讼完全与反垄断无关,亦未能证明这些收购所带来的伤害。
