PayPal创办人担心中国以比特币对抗美元
美国着名风投资本家,美国支付平台PayPal联席创办人Peter Thiel表示,担心中国正利用比特币损害美国。他指比特币对美元造成威胁,中国乐见全球出现两种储备货币,多於美元作为必然储备货币。但中国不希望人民币担任储备货币角色,过去曾以欧元部分地作为对抗美元的工具,惟没有成功,因此中国正试图提升比特币地位。
Thiel指出,若中国按地缘政治考量支持比特币,美国应更强硬地质疑比特币如何运作。他又指中国近期推动区块链为基础的数字人民币,并非真正的加密货币。
