高盛首席经济师:美劳工市场距疫前状态仍有相当距离
高盛首席经济师Jan Hatzius接受《CNBC》访问时表示,美国劳工市场距离全面恢复新冠疫前状态仍有相当距离。对於美国上月新增非农职位达37.9万份,远多於市场预期的21万份,Hatzius认为数字坚挺,但距经济与劳工市场须达致的目标仍有很远距离,因此美国继续需要财政及货币政策支援。
他指美国经济出现永久创伤的风险仍然存在,即使对劳工市场的长久伤害较去年夏季所预计的轻微。他认为不能视劳工市场恢复为理所当然,故此扩张性财政及货币政策为正确做法,因为需要减少恢复更正常状态所需时间。
Hatzius又表示,高盛预期美国失业率年底跌至近4%,但不反映实情,因劳动参与率持续低企,拉动更多人回到劳工市场需要一段时间,预计推动就业工作将要延续至明年。
