本港1月零售销售按年跌13.6% 跌幅较预期大 连跌24个月
政府统计处公布,今年1月的零售业总销货价值的临时估计为326亿元,较去年同月下跌13.6%(市场预期跌11.7%),连跌24个月。去年12月的零售业总销货价值的修订估计较2019年同月下跌13.3%。
在今年1月的零售业总销货价值中,网上销售占7.3%。该月的零售业网上销售价值的临时估计为24亿元,较去年同月上升92.1%。
扣除其间价格变动後,今年1月的零售业总销货数量的临时估计较去年同月下跌14.5%。去年12月的零售业总销货数量的修订估计较2019年同月下跌14%。
在阐释1月份的数字时,必须注意零售业於每年首两个月的销货额一般会受农历新年时间的影响而较为波动,在该节日前本地消费开支通常处於季节性高位。由於今年农历新年在2月12日,但上年则在1月25日,因此今年1月份数字与去年1月数字的按年比较可能会受到某程度的影响。
按零售商主要类别的销货价值的临时估计由高至低分析,今年1月与去年1月比较,超级市场货品的销货价值下跌9%。其次为其他未分类消费品(销货价值下跌0.3%);食品、酒类饮品及烟草(下跌16.3%);珠宝首饰、钟表及名贵礼物(下跌31.7%);百货公司货品(下跌17.4%);服装(下跌20.4%);药物及化妆品(下跌40.1%);燃料(下跌11.0%);鞋类、有关制品及其他衣物配件(下跌35.1%);书报、文具及礼品(下跌15.0%);中药(下跌22.7%);以及眼镜店(下跌25.5%)。但须留意,这些变动或会受上述提到有关农历新年时间不同所影响。
另一方面,今年1月与去年同月比较,电器及其他未分类耐用消费品的销货价值上升28.2%。其次为汽车及汽车零件(销货价值上升4.2%);以及家具及固定装置(上升25.0%)。
政府发言人表示,在本地第四波疫情下,今年1月零售销售继续录得显着的按年跌幅。然而,由於今年和去年农历新年的时间有差异(今年在2月中,去年则在1月底),相信对1月份的数字造成扭曲。因此,待取得2月份的零售数据後,再将两个月的数据合并分析,将能更有效评估最新的零售销售表现。
展望未来,发言人指出监於本地疫情继续带来威胁及访港旅游业维持冰封,零售业的经营环境在短期内仍然困难。因此,控制好疫情是至为重要。如果2019冠状病毒病疫苗接种计划取得预期效果,应有助奠下稳固基础,让零售业恢复以至经济在今年较後时间有较全面的复苏。
