金管局周文正:螞蟻集團仍在香港金融領域扮演重要角色
金管局首席金融科技總監周文正接受《彭博通訊社》訪問時指,雖然內地監管機構加強對螞蟻集團(06688.HK)的審查,但該公司仍會繼續在香港的金融領域扮演重要角色,認為沒有理由質疑其存在。而事實上,螞蟻集團擁有香港經營虛擬銀行及儲值支付工具的許可。
螞蟻集團原訂在本周四(5日)於香港及上海上市,但在本周二(3日)突然被中國監管機構煞停。周文正指,此事不會抑制投資者對香港金融科技興趣,認為基調非常樂觀,投資者視亞洲尤其是香港,為有大量金融科技發展的主要地方之一。
他續指,香港今年批出數家虛擬銀行,其中一家由螞蟻集團營運。目前為止,這些虛擬銀行的發展不錯,擁有非常好的商業模式,能利用替代數據來幫助將更多資金流入中小企。至於會否發放更多牌照,則需要更多時間審視現有的虛擬銀行。
