传蚂蚁集团(06688.HK)削减海外电子钱包公司补贴
《路透社》引述消息人士报道,蚂蚁集团(06688.HK)过去不断投资海外提供电子钱包服务的金融科技公司,不过目前已缩减对上述公司的资金及员工支援,因集团已放弃早日成为全球支付领导者的目标。
据悉,蚂蚁集团是於去年底改变目标,将在中港两地上市及应对国内监管挑战列为优先事项。目前集团已将补贴海外电子钱包公司的每年补贴削减数亿美元,同时亦召回派驻海外的员工。
消息人士称,蚂蚁集团今年亦暂停一项以QR码系统连接不同电子钱包的计划,不过集团仍将继续在海外投资,虽然不再以成为全球支付业龙头作为目标,但会巩固作为中国支付公司的龙头地位。
据悉,蚂蚁集团的新领导层认为他们的资源分配过於分散,由於海外业务仅占收入的5%,故不应再向海外公司作出太多补贴以免对公司上市时的业绩产生不利影响。
