AMD上季收入胜预期 宣布350亿美元收购Xilinx
半导体设计商AMD(AMD.US)截至9月26日的第三季度盈利增长2.25倍至3.9亿美元,收入上升56%至28亿美元,高於市场预期。
AMD预计第四季收入约为30亿美元,上下浮动1亿美元,而分析师平均预期为26.3亿美元。
另外,AMD宣布以350亿美元收购晶片制造商Xilinx(XLNX.US)後,希望能进一步提升竞争力,与英特尔(INTC.US)争夺利润丰厚的数据中心晶片市场。
根据交易协议,每股Xilinx普通股将换取约1.7股AMD普通股,对Xilinx的估值为每股143美元,较10月26日的114.55美元收市价溢价约24.8%。
AMD将拥有合并後公司的将74%股权,AMD的行政总裁苏姿丰将担任合并後公司的行政总裁,而Xilinx行政总裁Victor Peng将出任总裁,预计合并後将可节省3亿美元的成本。
在宣布交易後,AMD隔夜股价急跌4.07%,而Xilinx则升8.56%。
