通訊局批准37-43.5吉赫和66-71吉赫頻帶的新增頻率編配 為5G等做準備
通訊局指出在2019年年底舉行的國際電信聯盟2019年世界無線電通信大會(WRC-19)選定包括24.25-27.5吉赫、37-43.5吉赫和66-71吉赫頻帶供全球作第五代流動(5G)服務用途。
現時香港已使用24.25-27.5吉赫頻帶提供5G服務,通訊局是次批准37-43.5吉赫和66-71吉赫頻帶的新增頻率編配為香港日後使用這些新頻帶支援5G和其他先進的無線通訊應用作好準備,通訊事務管理局辦公室將於2021年1月更新香港頻率劃分表,以符合WRC-19的決議。
