中信資源(01205.HK)：CACT已聘請律師為索賠進行辯護
格隆匯 9 月 1日丨中信資源(01205.HK)公佈，公司最近注意到中國山東省高級人民法院於2020年4月10日在人民法院報上刊登的一項公告，該公告陳述有關威海市商業銀行股份有限公司("威海")向中國山東省高級人民法院提出的對CA Commodity Trading Pty Ltd(前稱CITIC Australia Commodity Trading Pty. Ltd.)("CACT")的三項索賠(統稱"該索賠")。CACT為公司於澳洲註冊成立的間接全資附屬公司，從事國際貿易業務。根據該公告，CACT自該通知之日起三個月屆滿時，被視為已送達該索賠的法律程序通知，關於該索賠的第一次法院聽證會將於2020年9月8日舉行。在對CACT進行查詢之後，除該公告外，董事會獲悉CACT尚未收到威海發出的任何正式通知。
CACT在得知該公告後已立即着手任命並指示中國當地的律師獲取有關該索賠的進一步信息。據稱，該索賠涉及三張信用證("信用證")，該信用證是向CACT出具的關於2014年向青島德誠礦業有限公司("德誠")出售存儲在中國青島港保税倉庫中若干數量的鋁的付款憑證。而代表德誠簽發信用證的威海，對某些倉庫收據的真實性提出質疑。威海向法院提出停止根據信用證向CACT付款的請求失敗，因此轉而向CACT尋求還款。威海根據信用證要求索賠的款項分別為：(i)人民幣78,700,523.68元加上利息和費用；(ii)人民幣71,639,419.07元加上利息和費用，及(iii)人民幣52,923,148.95元加上利息和費用，合供人民幣203,263,091.70元加上利息和費用。
CACT駁回了該索賠，並已通知董事會，該索賠沒有根據及威海聲稱的訴訟是錯誤的。CACT已聘請了中國當地的律師為該索賠進行辯護。
