美国国务院:下令关闭中国驻休斯敦总领馆是要保护知识产权
《路透》报道,美国国务院确认已通知中国需在3日内关闭驻休斯敦总领馆,因在两国关系急剧恶化的情况下,美方必须保其知识产权。
中国对美国的决定予以强烈谴责,并威胁要进行报复,据悉中国正在考虑关闭美国驻武汉总领馆。
美国国务院发言人奥特加斯(Morgan Ortagus)表示,下令关闭中国驻休斯敦领事馆是要保护美国知识产权及私人资料,不会容忍中国侵犯美国的主权并对美国人民构成威胁,就好像美国没有容忍中国的不公平贸易行为、窃取美国的本土职位及其他不当行为一样。
