新型冠狀病毒於整個第一季度繼續影響着全世界,導致不同國家的經濟活動及國際旅遊接近完全中斷。隨着實施限聚令和入境旅客的自我隔離,香港的經濟活動徹底收縮,導致失業率相應上升和地消費急劇下降。
在此背景下,集團中止了私人貸款、信用卡現金透支和海外消費的業務推廣活動,而集中於刺激地日用品的消費。同時,集團重新審視信貸評估標準以進一步控制信貸風險。信貸環境於第一季度明顯轉差,導致減值虧損及減值準備增加。
