國泰航空(00293.HK)：5月載客量跌99.4%載貨量跌41.3% 預期上半年將錄得顯著虧損
格隆匯6月12日丨國泰航空集團(00293.HK)公佈國泰航空與國泰港龍航空於2020年5月份合併結算的客、貨運量。由於COVID-19全球疫情持續，香港及多國政府實施旅遊限制及檢疫措施，集團月內因應需求疲弱而大幅削減97%運力。
國泰航空與國泰港龍在5月份合共載客1.8473萬人次，較2019年同月下跌99.4%，收入乘客千米數按年減少99.1%。乘客運載率下跌53.3個百分點至29.6%，以可用座位千米數計算的運力則下跌97.5%。在2020年首5個月，載運乘客人次較去年同期下跌71.2%，運力下跌59.5%,而收入乘客千米數則下跌67%。
兩航空公司在5月運載的貨物及郵件合共9.8710萬公噸，較2019年同月下跌41.3%。月內的貨物及郵件收入噸千米數按年減少29.1%。運載率上升9.1個百分點至73%。以可用貨物及郵件噸千米數計算的運力下跌37.9%。在2020年首5個月，載運貨物量較去年同期下跌29.7%，運力下跌27.9%,而貨物及郵件收入噸千米數則下跌22.3%。
基於今年首5個月客運量及收入乘客千米數均大幅下跌，國泰航空集團繼續預期2020年上半年將錄得顯著虧損。
國泰航空已於本週初公佈港幣390億元的資本重組計劃，為公司提供必要資金以應對航空業下滑，同時在全球旅遊市場面對空前挑戰下，繼續為香港國際航空樞紐的成功作出貢獻。
國泰航空顧客及商務總裁林紹波表示：“COVID-19疫情大流行對國泰集團以至整個航空業均造成巨大沖擊。縱使情況稍有改善跡象，例如香港國際機場開始放寬轉機限制，然而未來的走向仍然十分不明朗。相較其他國際航空公司，國泰並無經營本地航線，需完全依頼跨境旅遊；而政府延續外國人士訪港限制，更突顯我們在恢復客運服務方面必須謹慎及保持靈活。
我們因此調整了6月及7月的客運航班規劃。整體而言，6月及7月的客運航班運力分別約為3.5%及9.4%，惟有關計劃會因世界各地放寬旅遊限制的力度而調整。我們會繼續按市場需求以調整客運航班，然而我們預計未來數月仍會大幅削減航班。”
